Ironclad Dreadnaught and Drop Pod

A lot of my hobby time recently has gone into a Space Marine army. For various reasons I decided this time I'd go with a self made chapter. The main reason is it allows me to use miniatures from multiple other chapters and fight other Imperial factions, as I can tweak the fluff to suit whatever.

I went with a silver and blue scheme, inspired somewhat by the Astral Claws scheme. It's fast to paint, looks pretty good and is fairly bright compared to my previous Iron Hands marine army.

Chapter name and symbol are still TBC.

I've made several attempts to photograph my progress, but capturing the blue has been difficult. Today I had some time and there was a bit of sun so I used natural lighting. Much better! Not perfect, but not too bad.

Infinity - Painting terrain

One of the big things about Infinity is having a good table. For the first few demo games I was using my 40k stuff, but it wasn't a great fit. Not just aesthetically, but being different sorts of games the ruins didn't really work so well. 40k terrain is fairly abstract, but in Infinity it needs to be much more solid.
With that in mind, I decided to get a whole load of new terrain, because I honestly need very little excuse to buy more hobby junk. I'd been eyeing up CNC miniatures for a long time. They do some amazing stuff and this seemed like the perfect chance to order a bunch of their kits. Expensive (it's an Australian company) but great design and loads of extra little design bits with each kits; doors, windows, vents of various shapes and sizes.
Anyway, I finally finished building and painting the first building. This was also my first go at graffiti. Simple, but adds a nice splash of colour. I'll be adding more on future buildings for sure!

Infinity - First Batrep, ALEPH vs Nomads

Last week I finally played an actual proper game of Infinity!
Well, 150 points and everyone involved was very new, but still.

It was me and 2 friends. First game of the day was Aleph vs Nomads.
My Infinity terrain is still very much under construction but I think I managed to cobble together a decent table using a couple of Infinity style pieces, some 40k stuff and scatter terrain. Not good, but not bad.
The middle two buildings are from CNC Miniatures. More terrain to come soon!

Infinity - ALEPH Rebot remote

I was kinda dreading putting this guy together but building and painting him turned out to be a lot of fun!

Infinity - ALEPH Posthumans

I'm not dead! Horray!
So, over Christmas and New Year I went on vacation which took some of the wind out of my sails in regard to posting updates. I've not been entirely idle though!

ALEPH Posthumans are some of my favourite unit concepts as well as some cool miniatures; A single digital mind jumping between multiple cyborg bodies. I'll just be using a couple of them for now, the hacker and the sniper.

Infinity - ALEPH Sophotect and helper bot

Sophotects are ALEPH's doctor/engineer unit. These days, each faction has a very nice support pack with a doctor, engineer and some helper bots in. However this Sophotect dates from before then, so I had no Yudbot helpers. Unbound from the constraints of box sets I decided to use the Nomad Fastpanda figure as my helper robot buddy. Because hey, who wouldn't want a cute panda stitching them up after they get riddled with bullets? It7s enough to make you want to get hit with a HMG, right? No? Just me?
Blue haired cyborg dr lady and mini robot assistant. This is possibly the most Anime thing I've ever done.
