One of the things that appeals to me about the Necrons are their resilience. My choice of army normally focuses on the
fast but fragile. It'll be interesting to play something that can take a punch.
I'm also a big fan of robots, so the image of half destroyed Necrons rebuilding themselves on the battlefield is pretty striking.

Detail images after the jump...
There was also, of course, the challenge of seeing how many extra warriors I could scavenge by using the parts from the Ghost Ark kit. From the pictures I'd seen of the ark it looked like the warriors were usable on regular bases, if not rather uninspiring in their poses. It turns out of course that the legs are angled all wrong to be used for disembarked warriors, but I wasn't about to let that stop me.

"No, it's not "jawsome" that half my face is missing. Stop saying that. It's not funny. I hate you guys" |

"Excuse me, has anyone seen my feet?" |

"No? Well, do be so kind as to let me know if you see them. Thank you ever so much" |

"This pose is even less comfortable than it looks. My knee is killing me" |

"Oh no, it's not my leg. Someone just left it here" |

I love these, fantastic !! so full of character.
I quickly got bored with the standard Necron Warrior gunslinging pose, so I started moving their arms all around, even posing one Necron as if his arm had fallen off at the shoulder joint.
For my second box of Necron Warriors, I lost an arm bit during sprue snipping, so I once again made some creative poses. It's all good fun, I'm glad conversions are not exceptions to the WYSIWYG rule.
