Unit Finished - Harbinger of Despair

This is a fairly common conversion, but that's because it's a good one. The plastic Warhammer Heroes range has been pretty fantastic so far. Lots of scope for cool conversions.
"Oh, I'm not actually a Cryptek. I'm just cosplaying as Cloak."
Anyway, I decided to avoid the usual hi-tech staff and go for something a bit more pragmatic. The Harbinger's weapon is a template, so I imagined it to be some sort of psychic flamethrower. His other hand is a gauntlet with a built in teleportation device for Veil of Darkness-ing around the battlefield.

Unit Finished - Immortals with Gauss Blasters

Well, here's my first squad of Immortals. I might take them up to 10 strong at some stage, but for now my plan is to have them deploy with a Veil of Darkness Cryptek and teleport around the battlefield. Said Cryptek is basically done and will be gracing the blog with his presence shortly!

Necron Warrior Conversions...I still function!

One of the things that appeals to me about the Necrons are their resilience. My choice of army normally focuses on the fast but fragile. It'll be interesting to play something that can take a punch.
I'm also a big fan of robots, so the image of half destroyed Necrons rebuilding themselves on the battlefield is pretty striking.

Wanna bet?

Unit Finished - Necron Warriors

I suspect I'll be running any warrior units in numbers larger than 5, but as this is the minimum squad size, it totally counts as a finished unit.

Guy in the middle is my (admittedly lackluster) homage to the old Space Crusade Chaos Android.

These guys are quick, too. One of them was my test 'cron, but I did the other 4 from start to finish in a couple of hours, which is huge for me.

Necron Immortal Test Scheme

I posted a test Warrior a little while ago, and while I was generally happy with the basic scheme, there were a few things that I wasn't happy with. One was the base, obviously.
While I like to imagine Cybertron Necron Tomb Worlds being dark, metallic places, basing my 'bots that way just didn't look good with the dull metal scheme. I needed something with much more contrast, so I tried something that looks like sandstone. I'm quite pleased with the way it looks, and I think it presents the very simple paint job of the Decepticrons in a much more flattering manner.

I imagine most of my army is on the brink of accidentally tripping down the little ledges built into all their bases

Japanese Golden Demons

Japanese Golden Demons...sort of. So, these pictures are a bit old now, I think they were taken about a month ago. Still, pictures!
